Medina Township Road District Budget Hearing

Purpose:  Road District Budget Ordinance Meeting

Present:  Shawn Garner, Supervisor

Mike Molohon, Trustee 

Cindy Greene, Trustee

Luke Harvey, Trustee

Mary Sundermeyer, Clerk

Absent: Cam Parr, Trustee

Other Officials and Township Staff Present:  

Frank Sturm II, Road Commissioner

Deputy Ben Davison, Community Police

Others In Attendance:  1 Resident

Call To Order:  Supervisor Garner called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm

Presentation of Road District Budget: 

Frank Sturm presented the budget for the Road District for 2024-25 for $1,472,750.00.

Most road repairs come from the Permanent Road fund. The road district needs more revenue to get the job done. Frank will talk to our lawyers to see the best way to raise revenue as construction costs are rising.

Public Input: None

Discuss and Vote:  Shawn Garner made a motion to adopt Ordinance RD 24-25. Cindy Greene seconded. The ordinance was passed by a voice vote:  Shawn – Aye, Cindy – Aye, Mike – Aye, Luke – Aye. This ordinance will be filed at the Peoria County Courthouse.

Adjournment:  Shawn adjourned the meeting at 6:15 pm
