Medina Road District

The township Road Commissioner is responsible for the construction and maintenance of all roads and bridges in the Road District. The Road Commissioner submits an annual tax levy for the following year.  A township road district is a separate government, in many aspects. Neither the township supervisor nor the town board of trustees has any jurisdiction, or authority, over the road commissioner and/or employees of the road district.

Public Water District

The Chillicothe-Hallock-Medina Public Water District was created by referendum in 1994 to deal with the increasing concerns for water quality issues facing the township. The Water District's mission is to oversee and supervise all activities within the water district that directly or indirectly effect water treatment, supply, and delivery to residents of the district. The water district's vision is to assure residents of the Chillicothe-Hallock-Medina PublicWater District the availability of safe, affordable, and abundant water supply for all future generations.

Current primary water sources to residents of Medina Township are individual wells, Illinois American Water Co. and Medina Utilities.

Medina Township Plan Commission

The Medina Township Plan Commission consists of five members of the variance, or special use petition submitted for the unincorporated areas of variance, or special use petition submitted for the unincorporated areas of Peoria County within the proposed zoning, variance, or special use request would have on the health, safety, and welfare of Medina residents. After review and analysis, a decision on the request is made by the Plan Commission board. They forward their recommendation to the Medina Township board for consideration.

Medina Township Parks

Welcome to Medina Mossville Youth Baseball Softball Association! Our organization, which has been in existence for over 30 years, provides summer activities for youths ranging in age from 5 to 16 years.  We had over 250 participants in our summer baseball and softball program this year. Youths participated from tee-ball to the pony league and senior girls level. The season begins the first of June and ends in the middle of July with participation trophies given at the season's conclusion. Daytime clinics are held during the season and are in addition to the teams' practices.
